Shots!!

Well our son is huge. He weighed 13 pounds 10 ounces (95th percentile) and was 25 inches long (97th percentile) He is our giant cutie!! Drew is already talking about his career in basketball--but only if he wants to (no pressure). The shots made him cry-but just for a minute. But they have made him cranky and very tired yesterday and today. He usually never turns down food--but has had less of an appetite. Hopefully he will be back to his cheery self tomorrow since Papa John is visiting. We are going to the Mexico vision lunch tomorrow. I hope we have a good turn out.

Stroller time!!

I am so excited. I finally got Luke a stroller so I could go outside with him. He has only been outside for brief periods in his car seat--to and from church and the doctor. So it was time for him to see more of the world. My neighbor Vanessa and her sister Allie went with me on my first walk with Luke to Starbucks. No he didn't have any coffee yet--he is only addicted to milk and sleep.

We go to the doctor on Monday for his two month check-up. He is already 9 and 1/2 weeks old so we are going a little late so we could see our doctor. I already measured Luke and I think he is already 25 inches. He has outgrown his 0 to 3 month clothes because he is so long. I am curious to see how much he weighs. He is still sleeping good through the night for the most part and is finally napping better. I am afraid of the shots that are coming, so I will probably stand out in the hall and then comfort him. I will make daddy stay with him. He is stronger than me.

Luke and I had a wonderful time at a baby shower this morning for our dear friend Shanequa--she is having a her 3rd little baker beauty in April. It was a lot of fun and Emmy planned a fun game that included lots of melted chocolate candy bars in diapers. It looks a whole lot better in the wrapper.

My father-in-law is coming out on Tuesday and staying through Saturday. He is holding a vision lunch for the Mexico missions. It will be good to see him and the first time he gets to meet Luke.

Finally, we are still waiting to hear about Drew's job. Thank you for all your prayers. Many of you have wanted to stay updated so I will let you know as soon as I hear something. I think it will be soon--rumor has it by the end of March or April 1st. Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter celebrating Jesus and his resurrection.

Happy Birthday Bodie!!

Luke and I had such a fun time at Bodie's 1 year birthday party. That little guy is loved, everybody was there. It was the party of year. He was so cute and attached to mamma, of course--he loves his mamma. Luke wore his hokie outfit to the party--orders from daddy. Drew and I are always talking about how blessed we are to have a church community of friends that are willing to support each family in prayer, love, and support. It is a rare thing to find, but I saw that evidently at Bodie's party. We have felt showered with support since Luke has arrived. This weekend our friends Geoff and Grace brought Drew's favorite dinner to our house (enchiladas). We chowed down and enjoyed fellowship. We are still anxiously awaiting to find out about Drew's job. We have heard lots of rumors, but are unsure if any are true. We are praying hard that we do not have to move. God has always guided us, so we are trusting in Him.
