Mohawk Luke!

As always, Luke makes a mess while eating and often rubs his food in his hair. So while I was cleaning it out of his hair, I decided to give him a mohawk. I have not given Luke a haircut yet~~something sentimental about that baby hair. Although the last picture you will see I finally broke down and cut his hair because someone mistook him for a girl with his long locks. That is where I drew the line. He looks cuter than ever either way.

Louisville

I had the chance to visit two of my closest friends from college for a few days while Drew and Luke hung out alone. We had a blast and got to talk and walk and watch movies etc... Thank you Heather for hosting. It was great to see Crystal and Heather and we missed Emily and Nikki this trip. Here are some pictures from my trip. I am putting them all up in case they want to save them. Can't wait for next time.

Cool Fountain at Ramsies (sp?) a cool place with food items from all over the world!

Reformation Celebration

This year our church celebrated Reformation day with a party. We celebrated the lives of 3 reformers: Martin Luther, John Calvin, and William Tyndale. We so often take for granted the freedom that we have to worship and these men and many more often sacrificed their lives and freedom so that we could read the Bible and learn the truth of Scripture.
This year I organized the party. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I want to thank Laura Helsel who spent countless hours helping me, and my neighbors Chris and Vanessa who provided lots of tools and lots of their time to help me finish. Thank you also to Grace, Carianne for helping me and Dennis and Cindi, Andrew and Emmy, Andrea and Laura, Geoff and Grace, and my Drew for helping with me set up so quickly the day of the party. Almost everyone in the church let me borrow supplies also. So thank you to everyone. We had a great turnout with 80 people. There were 3 countries to visit and get stamps in passports and 9 booths altogether to play games related to the a reformer and their story. Lots of people dressed up and had amazing costumes. I can't wait until next year. Here are some pictures especially for my family who has heard lots about it but can now put a picture to it.

My Little Penguin

This year Luke dressed up as a penguin and we went downtown with friends to go to all the shops for candy. Luke did not like the penguin suit. You can tell from all the pictures.
