Big Boy Haircut for a Big Brother!
Ya Ya (my mom) came to visit Thursday night and will be here for 2 weeks. We have been having a great time and getting lots of last minute things done before Thursday. She also gave Luke a big boy haircut which he was in desperate need of. His hair was so long I could put it in a pony tail. Yikes! So a big boy haircut for a soon-to-be big brother. He looks so much older. I think he is suspecting a change in the air because he has been very clingy and needy but in good spirits. I am cherishing my last alone time with him and holding him as much as I can since I won't be able to pick him up for a while. I am praying he will adjust well and I am sure he will but his world is definitely going to be turned upside down a bit. We are so excited to meet Lydia Thursday morning but I am a little anxious about the c-section. I know it will be a lot better than last time but who wants to be cut open??? Not me. Thank you for all the prayers!!!! I will hopefully update with pictures on Thursday. So until Thursday....

Belly shot. 38 weeks!
Many have asked for an updated belly shot, so I guess I must. Lydia has definitely grown and the doc thinks she is close to 7 pounds now. I have 13 more days until she arrives at 7 in the morning on July 2nd. I am more than ready.
Also, I had lost my camera cord so wasn't able to update for a while. So there are several posts below. Check them out.

Luke and Mommy- 17 months old today!
Luke is 17 months old today. He gets cuter everyday and more active. He is already saying some random sentences like "daddy home soon" and "momma loves Luke". He is very verbal and is way into books now. He loves to point out all the objects and animals that he knows. He is getting the hang of eating with utensils but is still quite messy and finds it more fun to dump his plate or bowl instead of eat out of it. My favorite thing is when he likes something, he gets this deep voice and says it as loud as he can such as: "cycle" for popcycle or "daddy". He also loves to pray and when we read the Bible he thinks we need to pray about 10 times or so. He loves to say "no no" and "obey" right before he does something he isn't supposed to, so he gives himself away. i love it. He is a little more of a cuddler now and constantly is saying "up, up, up" until you pick him up. He gives great hugs around the neck. He is so adorable and lovable. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. I hope I can hold onto these memories forever. He is also somewhat aware that he is going to be a big brother. He pats my belly and says "di di" for lyidia. He goes in her room and says it too. We will see how much he likes her when she comes home.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center
We had a chance again this year to be a part of the APC fundraiser walk. Some people in our church sponsored us. It is a great organization that provides crisis counseling for women with unexpected pregnancies. It promotes the babies life and offers so many great resources. It also provides counseling for those that have gone through abortions and continue to struggle with it. Here are some pics from the event.

Westlands Park with friends.
Last week I met a couple friends at this really cool park. We had a picnic and played a lot. Luke wore himself out. It was a blast.

We didn't come prepared for water play but there was no turning back. It was a cool fountain play area. The only problem was the water was cold.

I kept having to warm Luke up even though it was close to 80 degrees. He kept going back for more even though his lips were turning purple. He is a water lover!!

Colorado Springs Zoo
Kara and I headed to the Colorado Springs zoo a couple weeks ago. It is a smaller, more hands-on zoo. It is in the hills so the walk to get to all the animals was uphill. It was good for me though. Kara helped me chase Luke around because he is so busy and quick to get away. He tried to chase all the animals. He was much more into it this time around than the last. He could spot the animals very well. Thanks Kara for making the trip with me. It was a blast.

Touching the turtle. There were a lot of hands on things to do at this zoo.

Me with Troy and Luke except they wouldn't look at the camera. They were staring at the beautiful peacock.

Kara with Luke playing the drums. Kara (bless her) she helped me chase Luke the whole time so I didn't go into preterm labor.

Lydia's Baby Shower
On May 30th, the lovely ladies at my church threw a baby shower for me to welcome the upcoming arrival of Lydia Faith. It was such a wonderful party. Lydia received so many beautiful outfits and presents. Here are some highlight pictures from the day. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of everyone, but thank you so much for all the support everyone. I felt so loved and blessed!!!

Papa John's Weekend Visit!
Papa John (Drew's dad) flew out this weekend. He was here for Drew's elder election. It was a busy weekend and we had a lot of fun. We tried out the 3 century old Buckhorn restaurant that serves all kinds of meat, rattlesnake, alligator, buffalo, elk, etc... There was also a baby shower for me put on by several of the ladies at my church. I will post pictures soon.
