Regis and Kelly Baby contest!
I just entered Lydia in the Regis and Kelly beautiful baby contest. You win a college scholarship and much more. I think it is a vote thing. So I will give the details when it is time to vote. This is the pictures I entered. I think in a few days you can view all the submissions on their website. There are so many beautiful babies it is fun to look at the pictures. Wouldn't it be nice to have college paid for?????
Luke and Lydia
Luke is all about Lydia these days. If I am in the kitchen doing something and I will start to hear laughing. I turn around and Luke is playing with Lydia making her smile and laugh. I am so glad Luke finally got to that point. Lydia loves him to death and if she is crying she immediately stops if Luke walks into the room. Here are some recent pictures. Love these two bundles of joy!!!
Kisses!

Pictures of new house part 1
I finally took some pictures of the rooms I have done some work in so far. The house projects take a lot longer with two little ones. Painting only happens after hours which doesn't leave a lot of time. It will get done eventually. I just got a part-time counseling position too. Working in the early evenings a few days a week, so I am sure it will slow down even more now. But I will do what I can do. We LOVE our new house and feel so BLESSED to live here. I hope we are here forever because I certainly don't ever want to move again. So these are a few rooms that I have done so far. I still have a lot to go. I haven't even touched the basement yet (except for Drew's office) and it is as big as the upstairs. Oh well all in due time.
Luke's room. He got a big boy bed with a new quilt and I did the colors on the wall to match it. We are putting up chair rail soon too. His new room is so big and has lots of room for all his toys (for which he has too many). I still have some work to do but I have put the rest on hold for a while.

Entry niche by the front door. I redid this mirror. It used to belong to a dresser. I have some touch up painting to do too.

I have finally hung all the blinds and finished hanging the valances and curtains in the kitchen and breakfast nook. My friend found this beautiful patterned curtain at JC Penny sale. I love it. Drew wanted a bench seat table too so this is the one we ended up with. We love it. I love this space because it is open to the living room and I can cook and watch the kids play.

Huge mantel which creates a dilemma for my narrow decorating talent (I haven almost none). It is a work in progress.

Fun day!
Luke's new favorite thing to do in our new house and as a 2 year old is to throw all 50 of his cars down the stairs! Good times

Lydia is learning to eat with her fingers. I love this stage, and she is always willing to smile for the camera. Can you tell I love her new hat? I think it is adorable especially with it on her cute head.

We have been doing a lot of work on the house, and the kids have been great allowing me to get some stuff done. Luke is getting better about playing by himself for a while, and Lydia is doing a lot of different activities now.
I think Lydia looks so much like Luke is this picture. Boy, am I random in this post!

Luke is 2!
I can't believe that Luke is 2 already. I remember very clearly when he was born and it doesn't seem that long ago. We celebrated his birthday today (a day early). Since Luke is in love with fire trucks, we had a fire truck party. It was a blast, and I was amazed and overwhelmed by our friends that love our little boy so much. Luke was overwhelmed by it all but very well behaved. He had a wonderful day!

The highlight: a visit from the local fire department. The fire fighters were great and so friendly. They answered all the questions the children had. But Luke would not go in the truck, but he did touch every part of the outside.

Fire truck cupcake cake that I made! I was so proud-I didn't think I could do it.

Bzz Campaign
I am doing a bzz campaign (through bzzagent.com) for the new Aveeno baby shampoo and I love it. I received a sample of the shampoo, and the smell is great! It is made with natural wheat, oats, and Vitamin E. They also have a bunch of other new baby products. You can check it out at aveeno.com. I think I am going to try the sunblock this summer and the moisture cream because Luke has severely dry skin.
