So Lydia had her first swing ride and loved it. Luke still refuses to go on a swing of any kind (too confining for his "must go at all times" self). Anyhow. My camera is BROKEN and I have not taken any pictures of my kids for a month. That means a month of memories are gone, and I am so upset about that. But I have taken lots of video to make up for it. I am supposed to be getting a camera for my birthday which is still a month away. So I will have to do something in the mean time. I have been so busy, too busy. I have been working like crazy on the house. I am now officially sick of painting, but only have the first floor done and the guest room down stairs. I spent a ton of time on painting the dining room (it has a ton of trim boxes) but they were not put up right and getting a straight paint line is impossible. So I have decided to take the trim boxes down and put of wainscoting instead.

Also I got offered a part-time counseling job. Drew and I have been praying about this for a long time and a wonderful opportunity became available. I am going to be working for a few hours in the early evening a few days a week at a wonderful agency for children and families. I will be doing what I love but not giving up my other love of being at home with my kids most of the time. Drew is going to be able to watch them most of the time that I am gone.

So this month has been busy but wonderful! Drew is traveling a lot (every week lately). So the kids and I have definitely been praying for warm weather to come. There is nothing worse than being trapped in the house with no daddy, day after day because of the cold. Well, God answered our prayers, and this week has been beautiful. 42 degrees today with no wind. We took the first chance to be at the park. Luke played and played and played some more. I think if a toddler could have seasonal affective disorder-he definitely would. He loves being outside and I think when he can't be outside he goes a little nutty. He has also turned two and he is getting those nasty molars, so I am sure that contributes to the crazy behavior (oh and I forgot to mention-ever since we have moved he has been getting up at 5 AM). So the prayers continue that the WARM weather will continue. I love Spring-let it come!
My favorite things about Luke this month (his 25th month of life)
1. Putting as much in his mouth as possible and then asking for "milk please"
2. getting a kick out of mom's somersaults
3. lining up his 67 cars and trucks over and over again
4. running circles around our basement
5. counting to 7 repeatedly
6. falling in love with the movie up (because of the balloons of course!)
7. still saying "mommy hold you"
8. doing the worm dance move during a tantrum
9. hugging Lydia at least 5 times a day
10. saying his Bible verse from memory at the dinner table
11. now recognizing colors and saying the color of everything he sees

Lydia has blossomed and is so happy. She is the polar opposite of Luke. For instance. Luke has never woke up happy from nap or morning ever. As soon as he wakes up, he is crying to get out of his room. He is also grumpy and it takes him at least an hour to wake up. Lydia on the other hand never wakes up unhappy. She is also smiling, talking, etc.. and she would do that in her bed forever I think. She is laid back-LUke is intense, passionate, and a perfectionist. Lydia loves to watch what is going on-Luke is oblivious to everything except what he is focusing on. Lydia is cuddly and gentle. Luke is a go-getter, has to be moving all the time (no time for cuddling-except for every once and a while-which is great). Lydia has begun talking all the time. She can say dada and mama now (she still doesn't know what she is saying though). She is still throwing up a lot and everything in her stomach must come up-so we have increased her meds and hoping that she grows out of it soon. She is really tall but lean. She is beautiful and precious and still adores her big brother.
My favorite things of Lydia (her 7th month of life)
1. sitting up confidently and loving it
2. pulling up on all fours and rocking back and forth and then going into push-up position
3. falling in love with NEMO
4. swinging her arms up above her head and back down at an alarming rate of speed
5. putting everything in her mouth
6. Loving food everything even if it comes back up
7. jumping up and down like a maniac in her jumper
8. patting her daddy's chest over and over
9. starting to pay attention to books
10. learning what kisses mean and giving lots of them

So sorry it has been a while in posting. This post was a catch up for me too-to reflect on the past month and praise God for his goodness.
